Thank you! It’s been hell. I fantasize that people will apologize and say “you were right all along” (narcissistic fantasy lol) but we all know that there will be mass amnesia and denial.
Yes, I agree. No one will apologize. Everyone will move on or pretend they didn't know enough about it or always secretly "had their doubts" but just didn't say anything at the time. But everyone who spoke up had things to lose too, and we really did lose them.
Thanks for the book recommendation. How I Won a Nobel Prize is just the kind of light comic novel I've been looking for since Where Do You Go, Bernadette? and The Circle.
Splendid stuff. You are one of the few (not-enough) from the Arts who put your neck on the line over this nonsense. Thank you.
Hi -- I just want to say I've enjoyed your recent musings about the novels you read. More, please.
Yes! I've gotten into simply buying random contemporary fiction lately, so there will be more. And thank you!

Your article on institutional drift is excellent. It hits all the right notes.
Thank you very much!

I must admit I have read neither! Thank you for mentioning them.
Worth reading! Don't watch the film versions!!!
