It's odd that he seems to assume that the left doesn't use postmodernism as a tool to wield power. The number of times I've seen someone being shut down using standpoint epistemology alone seems to contradict this. The Dems always imply that some ethereal demographics are with them and under their protection to justify their power as well. My opinion is that I agree with the author's point but that it applies to all politicians are like this in the western world.
